As a sign of international confidence in Peru's future, representatives of the
Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) Group and the
Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean (CAF) reaffirmed to the
Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) that they will continue their financial cooperation efforts to promote economic development, public investment with a high social impact, and technical collaboration during the 2026-2031 five-year period.
In this regard, it was agreed to coordinate efforts to promote the financing and advancement of strategic investment projects in citizen security, transportation, tourism, and nationwide natural gas distribution infrastructure.
Likewise, CAF offered to continue materializing financial and technical assistance aimed at strengthening prevention and mitigation measures in response to El Niño phenomenon.
At the meeting, the strategic work plan to be implemented by the multilateral organization in Peru was addressed.
It includes the approval and execution of eight new financing operations, as well as the coordination of additional financial support to address climate emergencies.

Regarding both meetings, Cuba noted that the multilateral banks' firm support for the Peruvian Government, led by President Keiko Fujimori, will strengthen the Executive Branch's capacity to boost investment and ensure the country's stability and sustainability.
