Peruvian Government ensures access to timely and high-quality health services for all Peruvian nationals without exception, Labor and Employment Promotion Minister Sylvia Caceres affirmed on Monday.
During the presentation of EsSalud 2018 Actuarial and Financial Study —conducted with the technical support of the
International Labour Organization (ILO)— Caceres said the best public policy decisions are those sufficiently backed by evidence and that this is the value of such document.
The minister thanked ILO for its valuable contribution and noted that, with the actuarial study, the organization contributes to figuring out the causes of structural and financial weaknesses, but also proposes scenarios to improve social security services.
"We must continue to move forward so as not to leave things as they are. Each political actor has expressed their political will," the government official emphasized.
"We bear in mind that resources are scarce, but that does not limit efforts to improve health services," she added.
