Peruvian Vice-President Luis Giampietri Rojas will visit Beijing, China, next week to meet and encourage local business people to invest in Peru's different sectors.

Vice-President Giampietri will travel to Beijing accompanied by Foreign Trade and Tourism Minister Mercedes Aráoz, who will sign the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between Peru and China on Tuesday, April 28.

Giampietri is scheduled to meet China’s industry leaders, senior executives and potential investors on April 29.

China is the second largest export market for Peru after the United States, and this agreement is the second the Asian giant signs with a Latin American country after its trade pact with Chile.

The end of FTA talks was announced in November last year during the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Leaders Summit held in Lima.
