As part of the
multinational exercise, General Commander of Pacific Operations ,Vice Admiral Gian Marco Chiapperini, paid a professional visit to the Combined Maritime Task Force Command Post at the K. Mark Takai Pacific Warfighting Center, located at Pearl Harbor Naval Base in Honolulu, Hawaii, United States.
"This activity helped strengthen the strategic presence of the Peruvian Navy, the largest navy in the South Pacific, at the world's largest multinational maritime exercise," the Navy reported.
During this visit, the delegation learned about the planning, coordination, and operational monitoring capabilities of the command center, where the efforts of participating naval forces are integrated in highly complex multinational scenarios.
The visit was attended by Vice Admiral Jeffrey Jablon, Deputy Commander of the U.S. Pacific Fleet, and Rear Admiral Jaroslaw Ziemianski, Inspector of the Polish Navy.
The visit also highlighted the participation of 10 Peruvian officers serving in key positions during RIMPAC 2026, reflecting the Peruvian Navy's high level of professionalism, preparedness, and ability to integrate seamlessly with the world's leading navies.
In doing so, the General Command of Pacific Operations reaffirms its commitment to interoperability, naval cooperation, and the international projection of Peru's naval power, the Navy said.
