Foreign Ministry honors outgoing Poland’s Ambassador to Peru

Peru’s government honored today Poland’s ambassador to Peru Przemyslaw Marzec with “La Orden del Sol del Peru” (Order of the Sun) in the class of “Gran Cruz” (Great Cross) at the end of his diplomatic functions.

The decoration was ordered by Foreign Affairs vice minister Néstor Popolizio Bardales in a ceremony held at the Torre Tagle palace.

The vice minister highlighted the ambassador’s contribution in the promotion and strengthening of the bilateral relations between Peru and Poland.

The honored Przemyslaw Marzec had an important management for over 3 years, highlighting his participation in the cultural field and in the support he offered for the consolidation of the friendship bonds and bilateral cooperation.

In his speech, the foreign diplomat thanked the recognition and said that “when I arrived in Peru I did it as Poland’s ambassador, and now I leave as Poland’s ambassador but as Peru’s ambassador in my heart”.

He highlighted the support of the Peruvian government during his diplomat management and mentioned that his stay in Peru was one the most wonderful phases in his life.
