Regarding the four Peruvian citizens transferred to the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) from the United States, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported that they have returned to Peru and are in good health.

The government agency noted the return of the four Peruvians was achieved through coordination efforts by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, via its Consular Section in Nairobi, with the valuable support of the International Organization for Migration (IOM).

"It has been verified that the Peruvian nationals are in good health. To ensure their transfer, the consular office issued and promptly sent the emergency travel documents to the IOM office in Kinshasa," a statement said.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also reaffirmed its commitment to assisting and protecting Peruvians abroad, providing consular services regardless of their immigration status while safeguarding the will, integrity, and rights of its citizens at all times.
