In order to strengthen and promote our country's tourism industry internationally, Peru successfully participated in the prestigious International Tourism Fair (Fitur) held in Madrid, Spain, as reported by the Commission for the Promotion of Peru for Export and Tourism (PromPeru).

During the event, held from January 24 to 28, the Peruvian delegation highlighted the country's richness and diversity, solidifying its position as an attractive and unique tourist destination.

Peru's presence at Fitur stood out for the presentation of innovative tourism products and experiences in the spheres of nature, adventure, culture, and gastronomy.

From the opportunity to explore various Peruvian destinations through virtual reality to savoring diverse dishes from our country's exquisite cuisine or experiencing Andean traditions, fair attendees had the chance to immerse themselves in the richness of Peru's diverse tourism offerings.

This significant global showcase, which annually brings together professionals from the worldwide tourism industry, attracted 250,000 visitors throughout its 5 days of activity, providing an opportunity to enhance Peru's image as a must-visit tourist destination.

Furthermore, the active participation of the Peruvian delegation, consisting of 32 companies, sparked great interest among industry professionals and visitors, establishing the South American country as a prominent destination not only in Latin America but also on the global tourism stage.

During the fair days, Peruvian exhibitors held important meetings with representatives from the international tourism industry, aiming to strengthen strategic alliances and explore new business opportunities.

Based on projections, the sales potential generated during Fitur will exceed US$16 million in favor of the Peruvian tourism industry.

Peru's outstanding participation reflects the country's commitment to positioning its tourism offerings sustainably and appealingly, thereby contributing to economic and cultural development.

Thanks to these positive results, our country emerges as a key player not only in the Spanish market but also in the international tourism arena.
