Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister Ignacio Higueras on Thursday underscored the Peruvian position towards Venezuelan migrants and refugees, highlighting the labor and educational integration that they find in Peru.
During his speech in the first panel discussion, the government official highlighted the efforts made by Peru to achieve the labor and educational integration of Venezuelan migrants and refugees in the country, as well as to improve their access to health services.
The diplomat also stressed that Peru —as the second host country for Venezuelan diaspora in the region— faces important challenges that require coordinated efforts by the Government, civil society, and the international community.
