The year-on-year result was mainly explained by a 26.6% rise in export prices.
This was driven primarily by higher copper prices, which rose 42.5%, and crude oil and its derivatives, which increased 39.6% in price, according to the BCR.
Meanwhile, import prices increased 13.9%, in line with more expensive oil and its derivatives, it noted.
The central bank noted that terms of trade, nevertheless, declined 1.5% compared with May, due to a correction in export prices (-1.5%).
Finally, it noted that import prices, in contrast, remained stable compared with the previous month.
