BCR: Peru's business expectations remain optimistic in Oct 2025

Most business expectations indicators improved in October 2025 compared to the previous month, and all remained within the optimistic range, the Central Reserve Bank (BCR) reported.

It indicated that the indicator on expectations for the economy's performance over the next three months rose from 55.6 points in September to 55.9 points in October.

Meanwhile, the 12-month indicator stood at 61 points in the tenth month, remaining within the optimistic range.

Regarding sector expectations, the three-month index reached 57 points in October, while the 12-month index rose from 64.5 to 65.7 points between September and October, the BCR noted.

The issuing entity stated that the indicator of expectations regarding the company's situation stood at 58.2 points for the three-month outlook and 66.7 points for the 12-month outlook in October.

As for the demand for their products, this index rose from 62 to 62.3 points between September and October for the three-month outlook.

For the 12-month horizon, it increased from 70.4 to 70.7 points during the same period.

Last October, the index of expectations for hiring personnel over the next three months reached 54.3 points, compared to 55.2 points recorded in September.

For the next 12 months, it rose from 62.8 to 63.7 points between September and October.

On the other hand, the index of investment in their company over the next three months rose from 55.9 points in September to 56.5 points in October, remaining within the optimistic zone.

Looking ahead 12 months, it increased to 65.3 points in October, after recording 64.1 points in the previous month.

In addition, the following current situation indicators were within the optimistic range and showed improvement in October 2025 compared to September:

The business indicator rose from 54.2 points in September to 55.6 points in October, the sales indicator increased from 58.3 to 58.4 points between the two months, and the purchase orders indicator compared to the previous month went up from 53.4 to 56.7 points.
