APEC Peru 2024: Canada's PM confirms attendance at Leaders' Meeting

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has announced his attendance at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Leaders' Meeting held this week in Lima, Peru.

The confirmation of Trudeau's arrival was announced on Sunday via the official X account of the Canadian Embassy in Peru.

The same message stated that the Canadian Prime Minister will also attend the G20 Leaders' Summit in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.


The APEC Economic Leaders' Week is the peak event of the APEC Peru 2024 host year and takes place from November 9 to 16 in the Peruvian capital, Lima.

At this event, the leaders of the 21 member economies and figures from international organizations gather to address the challenges and opportunities facing the Asia-Pacific region.

Peru is hosting APEC for the third time after the 2008 and 2016 editions.
