President-elect Keiko Fujimori on Wednesday stated that her new administration will usher in a new chapter, a new direction, marked by progress, peace, and the genuine inclusion of Peruvians who have historically been neglected and forgotten.

"We are embarking on a new chapter, a new direction marked by progress, peace, the reunification of Peruvians, the restoration of trust in our institutions, and the genuine inclusion of all Peruvians," she said in her speech after receiving her credentials as President-elect of the Republic.

A More Inclusive Peru

The president-elect said her administration will work tirelessly to build a more inclusive Peru, where prosperity is shared by all Peruvians.

In this regard, Fujimori emphasized that she spent 25 years traveling across the country, engaging with Peruvian families and listening to their concerns and hopes.

She said all efforts will be focused on addressing their needs, including roads, schools, hospitals, and basic services in the areas that need them most.

"That is the Peru we must transform—not with speeches, but with results," the President-elect underscored, noting that the country must change the reality of a State that responds too slowly to the population’s needs.

Fujimori said her administration will restore the State's sense of urgency and speed up the decisions the country has long been waiting for, with order, responsibility, efficiency, and human sensitivity.

A State that works

"Our goal will be to build a State that works, one that protects, supports, and creates opportunities. We want a Peru where security allows people to live without fear, where economic growth translates into better opportunities for everyone, where investment creates quality jobs, and where progress ceases to be a privilege for a few and becomes a shared achievement for the entire nation," Fujimori underscored.

She added that her incoming administration will not change what is already working and will ensure that the benefits of economic growth reach every corner of Peru.

During her speech, the president-elect also said Peru has everything it needs to become the great country its people dream of, but it requires a State that lives up to their expectations.

"We will govern by traveling across Peru, listening to its people, and ensuring that our commitments are fulfilled, because a Government is not measured by the number of announcements it makes, but by the solutions it delivers," Fujimori stated.

"Every completed road, every rebuilt school, every functioning hospital, every family with access to water, and every young person who finds an opportunity to study or work—those will be the indicators," she emphasized.

The president-elect also stressed that public resources belong to all Peruvians and that managing them requires "responsibility, efficiency, and honesty."

She added that her administration will not allow bureaucracy to become an obstacle for citizens who need urgent responses.

At another point in her speech, Fujimori called on local governments, the private sector, workers, entrepreneurs, academia, social organizations, and every citizen who wishes to contribute to the country's development to "come together with maturity and conviction."

She also reiterated her commitment to an economy that generates prosperity, investment, and employment, so that the benefits of growth reach those who have long been waiting for them.

"That will be the true meaning of inclusion: not to distribute poverty, but to create opportunities," Fujimori said, calling for an end to divisions and emphasizing that she will govern for all Peruvians.
