The fourth edition of a national photography contest organized by the Peruvian Chamber of Coffee and Cocoa, is open to Peruvian citizens and residents over 18 years old, whether professionals or amateurs, in order to capture stories inspired by Peru’s coffee culture.

The Peruvian Chamber of Coffee and Cocoa has launched the fourth edition of the National Photography Contest of Peruvian Coffee, an initiative that seeks to portray the stories, people, and emotions that revolve around the country’s rich coffee culture.

Under the concept The Coffee That Unites Us, the contest invites participants to capture images that reveal the stories born around coffee, from the faces and landscapes of producing regions to the daily rituals of coffee lovers in cafés and homes across Peru.

The goal is to highlight how coffee connects territories, generations, and perspectives, while celebrating the country’s cultural and geographic diversity.

The contest is open to Peruvian citizens and residents over 18 years old, whether professionals or amateurs.

Registration is free and available online through the official website of the 4th National Photography Contest of Peruvian Coffee at www.expocafeperu.pe/concursofotografia, where participants can also access the contest rules and digital submission form.

More than a contest, this initiative is a tribute to everyone who makes Peruvian coffee possible —from those who grow and process it to those who prepare and enjoy it— and a recognition of photography as a means to tell stories of origin, community, and cultural identity.

"We want this contest to serve as a platform for photographic talent emerging from Peru’s coffee-growing regions, strengthening local identity and promoting the country’s visual diversity," said Paloma Navarro, Communications Officer at the Peruvian Chamber of Coffee and Cocoa.

Jury and requirements

The jury is composed of professionals with distinguished careers in documentary photography, visual storytelling, environmental journalism, and coffee culture: Flor Ruiz, documentary photojournalist; Omar Lucas, documentary photographer; Fidel Carrillo, photojournalist; and Norka Peralta, culture editor and director of Cafelab.pe.

"Being part of this jury is an opportunity to discover new perspectives emerging from across the country,” said Fidel Carrillo.

"Each image about coffee should speak not only of a plant or a product, but of a culture, of memory, pleasure, and identity that unites us as Peruvians.", he added.

Each participant may submit up to three original and unpublished color or black-and-white photographs taken with any digital device, adhering to the contest’s theme. Basic editing (light, color, contrast) is allowed, but photomontages, collages, illustrations, or AI-generated works are prohibited.

Offensive, plagiarized, or rights-infringing content will not be accepted, nor will photographs containing text or branding that could be interpreted as advertising.
