19:40 | Lima, Nov. 30.

Peruvian Prime Minister Violeta Bermudez on Monday met with former Ministerial Cabinet Head Walter Martos for the handing over of the institution's post.

This measure is stipulated in the guidelines for the transfer of administration of national government entities, approved in the Comptroller's Office Resolution No. 088-2016-CG.

Since then, the government official has fulfilled an intense work agenda for the approval of the 2021 Public Sector Budget Bill and to dialogue with Parliament parties in order to receive the confidence vote.

For his part, Martos —who had also served as Defense Minister— headed the Presidency of the Council of Ministers from August 6 to November 10 during the administration of former President Martin Vizcarra.

It should be noted that —in compliance with the guidelines— Ex-Ministerial Cabinet Head Antero Flores-Araoz will also have to transfer the post to Mrs. Bermudez on December 7. Flores-Araoz served under the former Merino administration.
