State Ministers resign from office in Peru

A number of State Ministers in Peru have stepped down from their positions amid the current political crisis affecting the country.

The recently sworn-in Cabinet members submitted their resignation from office after the violent events occurred during a national demonstration on Saturday.

Below is the list of ministers whose resignations have so far been confirmed:
 
-Hilda Sandoval (Housing, Construction and Sanitation)
-Carlos Herrera (Energy and Mines)
-Fernando D’Alessio (Education)
-Abel Salinas (Health)
-Maria Magdalena Seminario (Foreign Trade and Tourism)
-Delia Muñoz (Justice and Human Rights)
-Maria del Carmen de Reparaz (Culture)
-Patricia Teullet (Women and Vulnerable Populations)

On November 12, President Manuel Merino de Lama administered the oath of office to members of said Cabinet led by Prime Minister Antero Flores-Araoz.
