Tourism in Peru generates around US$5 billion in foreign exchange annually
The tourism sector is an important source of foreign exchange and employment. In this regard, the Executive Branch stated that this economic activity generates nearly US$5 billion in foreign exchange annually and provides jobs for over 1.3 million Peruvian citizens.
