presided over the farewell ceremony for military personnel assigned to Peru's defense attaché offices abroad, who will carry out diplomatic missions in 18 countries during the 2026–2027 period.
In total, 68 members of the Armed Forces were appointed as Defense, Military, Naval, and Air attachés to Peruvian embassies.
"Each military, naval, and air attaché strengthens the objectives of Peru's foreign policy led by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs through our embassies. I would like to emphasize that our attachés were selected through a rigorous institutional process and have received training in international relations and international cooperation," Minister Cesar Diaz stated.
The farewell ceremony was held at the Caceres Hall of the Army Headquarters, in Lima's San Borja district.
The event was attended by the general commanders of the Army, General Cesar Briceño; the Peruvian Navy, Admiral Javier Bravo de Rueda; and by Deputy Defense Policy Minister Walter Chavez.
