Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) highlighted the efforts made by Brazil, Spain, as well as Peru in the friendly matches held so far.

In this sense, soccer's governing body said that although the Inca squad returns to a World Cup tournament in almost four decades, it showed an outstanding performance during the two games played in the United States.

It pointed out the national team had "comfortably defeated (2-0) a strong Croatia side," bearing in mind there were only 10 Peruvian players in the final 15 minutes of the match.

Likewise, FIFA stressed Peru's last night 3-1 victory over Iceland by calling it "another impressive performance."

Finally, it concluded by stating the Inca team might be a "surprise package" at the 2018 World Cup.
