Vicente Zeballos named permanent representative of Peru to OAS

Vicente Antonio Zeballos Salinas was appointed as new Permanent Representative of Peru to the Organization of American States (OAS) based in Washington D.C.

The appointment was made official by Supreme Resolution No. 088-2020-RE published in the official newspaper El Peruano.

Credentials and full powers were granted to Zeballos through the said document.
 
A ministerial resolution will set the date on which the new representative to the OAS will officially take up his duties.

The document was signed by Peruvian President Martin Vizcarra and Foreign Affairs Minister Mario Lopez.

Vicente Zeballos has served as Prime Minister of Peru and head of the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights. He was also a legislator of the dissolved Congress of the Republic.
