on Tuesday reported that the Government will invigorate the budget so that works can be developed in every corner of the country.
The Head of State said that once agreements are signed between companies and regional/local authorities to carry out
those public works, priority will be given to creating jobs for the local population and improving their economies.
Yanapay is an individual economic support worth S/350 (about US$87.5) for more than 13.5 million Peruvians in situation of poverty, extreme poverty, or who are users of other social programs. The measure intends to reactivate their household economies hit by the COVID-19 crisis.
"This is the Peru that we have received; after 200 years of republican life, this is the country, the streets, the situation in which neighbors live," Mr. Castillo expressed.
Remarks were made from San Antonio district, Huarochiri province, where he led the ceremony marking the delivery of the Yanapay economic subsidy to beneficiary number 12,000,000th.
There, the President stated that he will meet with local authorities at the presidential office to prioritize the problems faced by the community.
Moreover, Mr. Castillo reported that in the next few hours he will sign a government commitment with education sector workers regarding their Service Time Compensation (CTS).
He also reminded citizens that there is a debt towards the medical personnel who faced the COVID-19 pandemic and require job stability.
