President Vizcarra: Peru works towards development in harmony with environment

10:55 | Cajamarca (Cajamarca region), Dec. 3.

The President of the Republic Martin Vizcarra on Tuesday affirmed that Peru works on its development and growth responsibly, in harmony, and while taking care of the environment.

"Peru is a country that takes care of its environment, and we will make efforts to take care of it in a much more intense way, because if we want to move forward, we must be in harmony with the environment," he expressed.

In this sense, the President said that global warming has been seriously affecting the whole world, but mainly the nations that are more vulnerable to it such as Peru.

"We must be aware of this and, in the COP 25 week, we want to send a message from Peru, from Cajamarca, from San Ignacio (Province), from San Jose de Lourdes, that Peru is a responsible country, which is working and improving its economy, thus achieving development, but in harmony and while taking care of the environment," he added.

"That is the policy of this Government: Growing by narrowing the gaps," he concluded.
