Peruvian President Martin Vizcarra on Tuesday supervised the commissioning of Chinchipe Bridge, located in northern Andean Cajamarca region.
"When the Chinchipe Bridge Project started, I promised that it would be completed in the year 2019, and here we are fulfilling that commitment," he expressed.
The road infrastructure entailed an investment worth over S/32 million (over US$9.40 million). The 120-meter-long bridge features two lanes for vehicular passage.
This work will benefit 18,000 inhabitants.
On this occasion, the Head of State was joined by Transport and Communications Minister Edmer Trujillo and Region Governor Mesias Guevara.
