Accompanied by Ministers Carlos Espa (Foreign Affairs) and Vladimiro Huaroc (Environment), the President began her day by participating in the meeting organized by Rainforest Alliance.
The event was entitled "Investing in Peru of the Future: Sustainability, Competitiveness, and Global Climate Leadership through its Farming and Indigenous Communities."
This forum seeks to explore concrete financing and investment mechanisms to strengthen the South American country's sustainable competitiveness through initiatives related to environmental services, sustainable agriculture, as well as the productive development of farming and Indigenous communities.
As part of her activities, the President will hold a bilateral meeting with United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres at the international organization's headquarters.
The Head of State will also meet with Her Majesty Queen Maxima of the Netherlands, in her capacity as the United Nations Secretary-General's Special Advocate for Financial Health (UNSGSA).
Intensive working agenda
President Fujimori's agenda includes her participation in the meeting of heads of State and Government on the Santiago Regional Commitment against Transnational Organized Crime.
The initiative seeks to strengthen regional cooperation in combating organized crime and drug trafficking through measures in areas such as intelligence, financial traceability, and border control.
Subsequently, President Fujimori will hold a bilateral meeting with her Finnish counterpart, Alexander Stubb.
Moreover, she will participate in a meeting organized by Florida International University's (FIU) Adam Smith Center for Economic Freedom and the Ibero-American Business Alliance Council (CEAPI).
The event will bring together approximately 80 Ibero-American business leaders.
It will focus on promoting investment opportunities in Peru and strengthening high-level dialogue with representatives of major business groups gathered in New York City.
