The

The launch of the campaign took place at the

Regarding Holy Week celebrations in Ayacucho, the Head of State said that this is the most important religious activity in the country and Latin America, which brings in not only locals, but thousands of Peruvian and foreign visitors.
The dignitary remarked that Ayacucho is a historical land that has an important meaning for Peru, because the oldest empires in the country flourished there. Plus, it is the place where the Independence of Peru and that of America were sealed.
"This Holy Week coincides with a difficult period for our country, because it was hit by heavy rains and floods that affected many compatriots; so, there is the idea that this onslaught (of nature) put our response capacity, spirit of solidarity, and faith to the test," she added.
On the other hand, the country's top official reiterated her condolences to the Ayacucho people who lost their loved ones during the demonstrations that took place in this region.
Moreover, Mrs. Boluarte affirmed that she is confident that the culprits will be identified, so that these deaths do not go unpunished.
