Bringing Asian-Peruvian fusion food (Chifa cuisine) to the White House is one privilege only few people have access to, and Ricardo Huamaní is one of them.

The owner of "El Peruanito" Chifa-restaurant had that wonderful experience in the Land of Uncle Sam.

Flavors, colors and scents built the foundations for a real party at U.S. top government facilities, where many Peruvians enjoyed national cuisine on the occasion of Peru's 195th Independence Anniversary.

The Inca nation is one of nine countries that celebrated its anniversary at such extraordinary place thanks to an initiative by the Peruvian American National Council (PANC).

A chef delegation also prepared national dishes for attendees to the Organization of American States (OAS) headquarters, also on the occasion of July 28 festivities.

The White House feast had been previously planned for 100 guests, mainly prominent Peruvians, drawn by typical national flavors. Nonetheless, U.S. government employees also became interested in tasting the Inca Empire's delicacies.

"El Peruanito" will participate in Mistura 2016, Latin America's top food fair taking place in Lima this September.
