The delegation composed of Peru's Southern Macro Region entrepreneurs, which participated in the 'Expoacre 2015' Business Fair, managed to concretize deals worth US$5.80million for the next 12 months, the Foreign Trade and Tourism Ministry announced.

It must be noted the Macro Southern Region comprises Tacna, Arequipa, Cusco and Ica.

The event, which took place in Brazil’s Rio Branco city, gathered the exporters who promoted Peruvian products such as: Red Globe Grape, onions, garlic, quinoa, olives, olive oil, noodles, crackers, cheese, cotton garment and cement.

The Deputy Ministry of Foreign Trade, Peru’s Export and Tourism Promotion Board (Promperu) and the Sao Paulo-based Peruvian Trade Office (OCEX Sao Paulo) provided the national delegation a 180m2 booth for the corresponding presentations.

The fair -which ran from July 24 to August 02- featured business roundtables held between the national logistics service representatives and delegates of Acre State transport companies. Those negotiations were intended to establish alliances and setting up a trans-shipment center in Rio Branco with the aim of easing trade between the nations.
