Peru's view on corruption to be shared at Summit of the Americas

Prime Minister Cesar Villanueva said the Peruvian Government plans to express its view on corruption during the 8th Summit of the Americas, set to take place in Lima on April 13-14.

"During the Summit, we are going to state our point of view on corruption, which we must fight frontally," the Cabinet Chief said Wednesday at a press conference.

Also, he referred to the Summit's main theme, corruption, and said President Vizcarra is considered the standard-bearer of the fight against this scourge

Summit of the Americas 

The Summit of the Americas process is a mechanism of political consensus and dialogue at the highest level that started in 1994. 

Periodically, it brings together the continent's Heads of State and Government to agree on common solutions to priority issues.

The summit will bring together dignitaries from 33 nations.

At this event, high-ranking officials from the hemisphere will undertake concrete commitments on the topic "Democratic Governance against Corruption."
