Peruvian striker Raul Ruidiaz scored two goals defending Seattle Sounders FC at a match against Portland Timbers in the Major League Soccer (MLS) Western Conference semifinals on Thursday.
Nevertheless, his outstanding performance was not enough for his team to advance to the Western Conference finals.
The Sounders won the game (3-2) in the second leg of the two-leg, Western Conference semifinals at CenturyLink Field in Seattle, Washington.
However, with the series tied 4-4 on aggregate, the squads went to penalty kicks, in which the Timbers defeated the Seattle Sounders 4-2.
Ruidiaz's goals came at 68' and again in the 93rd minute.
In total, the Peruvian
has scored 13 goals in his first season with the Seattle Sounders FC.
