The president of Peruvian Exporters’ Association (Adex), Jose Luis Silva, stated today that the successful development of the Peruvian economy will continue with the new minister of Economy, Luis Valdivieso, who will take office tomorrow replacing Luis Carranza.
"Valdivieso is a reputable and experienced professional, and I think that his presence at the Ministry of Economy and Finances (MEF) will ensure that Peru's successful economy will continue to get stronger", Silva told Andina news agency.
Silva said he hopes there will be a more fluid and transparent dialogue between the MEF and diverse associations in order to achieve greater goals that will contribute to the country's growth.
"We hope there will be a change in the relationship with the economic actors, although the minister Carranza has maintained a positive country's growth, it is necessary to listen to different sectors of the economy so that everyone aims at a common goal" Silva said.
In that sense, he hopes that the MEF can receive some proposals raised by Adex, such as the payment of taxes in dollars, which was supported by some ministers and Peru’s president, Alan García.
