Peru's new minister of Economy, Luis Valdivieso, will take office tomorrow at midday, replacing Luis Carranza who resigned due to personnal reasons, announced the Press Secretariat of the Presidency of the Republic.

Peru’s president, Alan García Pérez held today a private meeting with the outgoing minister of Economy, Luis Carranza, at the Government Palace.

After meeting with the Head of State, Carranza left the Government Palace without talking to the press, dressed with a dark jacket and a sky-blue shirt raising both hands as a farewell gesture.
