The President of the Republic Dina Boluarte on Wednesday affirmed that following the recent swearing-in of new Prime Minister Gustavo Adrianzen and the confirmation of the Ministerial Cabinet, the work carried out for several months will be strengthened.

"We have a new Prime Minister; the Cabinet is the one that has always been accompanying us for several months; consequently, with the new Prime Minister and the swearing-in of the Cabinet this morning, we have to continue strengthening the work carried out from previous months," she expressed.

The Head of State urged ministers to execute their sectoral budgets, because "every Sol (Peruvian currency) that is invested in regions contributes to the country's development."

Furthermore, the top official lamented having requested the resignation of Cabinet Chief Alberto Otarola once some audio recordings were broadcast by an investigative TV news program last Sunday.

The president thanked Otarola "for having accompanied us on this journey."

Moreover, the top official said there is no "power dispute" in the Government, adding that the alleged "plot" that ended up with the ex-Prime Minister's departure "is falling apart."

Also, the Head of State affirmed that her brother, Nicanor Boluarte, is not part of the current Government.

"The Cabinet is not in crisis; the country is not in crisis; we are strengthening the work, and we are not going to stop for a moment. I lament the resignation of Alberto Otarola, but decisions must be made," she added.

Lastly, Mrs. Boluarte affirmed that the issue of requesting the interpellation of Executive Branch authorities is a prerogative that the Congress of the Republic has. Therefore, ministers will attend Parliament sessions to address lawmakers whenever it is deemed necessary.

Remarks were made after inaugurating the new facilities of Jose Sevilla Escajadillo educational institution located in Peru's northern La Libertad region.
