President of the Republic Dina Boluarte participates in the establishment of the National Disaster Risk Management Council (CONAGERD).
Moreover, the session features State Ministers,
Lima's Mayor Rafael Lopez Aliaga, and National Civil Defense Institute (Indeci) Chief Carlos Yañez, among other authotirites.
The aim of this activity is to coordinate response actions in order to face the heavy rains reported in northern Peru.
COEN monitors, validates, and provides official information on hazards, emergencies, and disasters for timely decision-making.
It operates 24 hours a day and 365 days a year, in coordination with regional, local, and sectoral operations centers.
Furthermore, COEN is an agency of the National Disaster Risk Management System (SINAGERD).
