Peru's Prime Minister Guido Bellido on Tuesday affirmed that the Ministerial Cabinet's upcoming presentation before Congress will address concrete proposals for the benefit of the country.

"(We are devoting) our full efforts and good will to outline all the initiatives we have for the good of the country on Thursday," he expressed.

The Cabinet chief said he is convinced the country will understand that the Government and President Pedro Castillo are firmly committed to serving more than 33 million Peruvians without causing harm to anyone.

In this sense, the Prime Minister reported that the ministerial team is consolidating the entire approach and series of measures to be implemented starting August 26, when it is scheduled to present the Government's general policy before Parliament and request a vote of confidence from legislators.

Regarding the information disseminated by the media about the inclusion of Labor Minister Iber Maravi's name in police reports from the 1980s, Bellido stated that he will talk with the person in question before making a decision.

When asked about eventual changes in the Cabinet, the high-ranking official noted that this can occur at any time, by assessing facts and taking into account what is best for the country, as well as "seeking justice and well-founded information at all times."

Remarks were made as he left the Lima Convention Center, where he opened the 14th Gore-Executive meeting.
