The
National Office of Electoral Processes (ONPE) on Monday continued to release official results of the Regional and Municipal Elections held nationwide last Sunday —at 97.595% of Metropolitan Lima ballots counted.
Within this framework, Rafael Lopez Aliaga (Popular Renewal) obtained 26.287% of votes, while Daniel Urresti (We can Peru) received 25.379%.
Additionally, George Forsyth (We are Peru) received 18.935%, followed by Elizabeth Leon (Front of Hope), 10.927%; Omar Chehade (Alliance for Progress), 7.108%; Gonzalo Alegria (Together for Peru), 6.384%; Maria Elena Soto (Go on Country), 3.506%; and Yuri Castro (Free Peru), 1.474%.
According to the ONPE, this result is linked to citizen participation at 78.608%.
The Regional and Municipal Elections
More than 24 million Peruvians were eligible
to elect 13,032 authorities in 25 regions, 196 provincial municipalities, and 1,694 district municipalities throughout the country.
