Sportswear Marathon company on Wednesday released the new jersey to be worn by Peru's national soccer team.
The distinctive shirt will be worn for the first time when the Incas play Costa Rica in a friendly match in Lima on June 5.
Likewise, the national players will continue wearing it in the friendly against Colombia —scheduled for June 9— and during entire
Copa America tournament in Brazil.
The new design includes a shirt collar and features a black number inside the traditional red stripe on the chest.
Additionally, two stars have been added above the
Peruvian Soccer Federation badge to signify the two times Peru has won the Copa America back in 1939 and 1975.
"Two cups, two stars, let's go for more," reads the Marathon's slogan.
