Peru's tourism sector will expand at two-digit rates starting next year, as the result of a strategy boosted by the Government, the National Chamber of Tourism (Canatur) projected Tuesday.
"The Government has undertaken greater actions to boost the growth of the tourism sector. Thanks to the installation of a sectoral technical roundtable, the right decisions have been made," Canatur Chairman Carlos Canales told Andina news agency.
In this sense, Canales indicated it will be ready by 2022, instead of 2024. Thus, it will make easier the reception of a greater number of tourists.
The majority of sightseers come from Chile, the United States, Australia, Canada, China, and countries of the European Union.
