President Martin Vizcarra on Monday confirmed the enhancement of
's operations and services is one of his administration's priorities.
During the agreement signing to deliver Peruvian Air Force's (FAP) 44,063 square meters of land —as a loan— to
Lima Airport Partners (LAP), the Head of State indicated improving operations at the air terminal will result in a positive impact on the Inca country's competitiveness.
Likewise, LAP will have the space to store at least eight aircraft, which will speed up air traffic.
The statesman went on to add a new runway and air terminal will be built.
He also highlighted the support provided by the Ministries of Defense, and Transport, as well as the Air Forces for the signing.
"Starting today the lands will be available to the awardee with the purpose of making the service more efficient. That will improve everyone's jobs (…)," President Vizcarra expressed.
On the occasion, Peru's top official was joined by Defense Minister Jose Huerta, as well as Transport Ministry's and Air Forces' representatives.
