Peru will once again be a key player in South American volleyball after being officially designated as the host of the 2026 South American Women's Club Championship. The tournament will bring together the best teams on the continent and will award berths for the 2026 Club World Championship.

The South American Volleyball Confederation (CSV) confirmed the news through its social media channels, detailing that the competition will be held from Wednesday, February 18 to Sunday, February 22.

Although the host city has not yet been determined, the organizers have already secured the participation of the qualified teams.

The Peruvian representatives will be the champion and runner-up of the last National League: Alianza Lima, who will be returning to the competition, and Regatas Lima, who will be making their debut.

The Peruvian Volleyball Federation (FPV) has left open the possibility of a third national team joining, depending on which clubs complete their registration before the first week of January.

Will Peru host the 2026 Copa América?

FVV President Gino Vegas announced a few weeks ago that Peru is seeking to host the 2026 Copa América de Vólio, following the first edition held in Brazil.

"I'm going to have a series of meetings to finalize the details. I've been assured that six teams will participate. This is scheduled for the end of July and the first days of August," Vegas stated.

The national volleyball team, coached by Antonio Rizola, finished as runner-up in the last Copa América, losing only to Argentina and defeating Brazil, Chile, and Venezuela, marking a remarkable return of Peruvian volleyball to the South American stage.

The South American Volleyball Confederation (CSV) is expected to officially announce the host country and schedule for the 2026 events soon, solidifying our country's position as a key venue for continental volleyball.
