The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has accepted the irrevocable resignation of Harold Forsyth as the Permanent Representative of Peru to the Organization of American States (OAS). Thus, his duties in office have been terminated.

The measure was made official on Monday through Supreme Resolution No. 005-2023-RE, published in the Official Gazette El Peruano.

The resolution states that Forsyth tendered his resignation from office on December 7, 2022, due to the rupture of democratic and constitutional order announced at that time.

It should be noted that the date marking the end of his duties will be set by ministerial resolution.

Likewise, the supreme resolution ordered the cancellation of corresponding credentials and full powers that had been granted to the aforementioned official.

Thus, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs thanked the Ambassador in the Diplomatic Service of Peru for the important services rendered to the Nation in the course of his duties.
