This project reached three million people through
Peru Brand's social media and was played over 7 million times. Thus, it strengthened the promotion of the Inca country's image.
Deputy Tourism Minister Liz Chirinos received the prize on behalf of the Inca country.
About the prize
The Excellence Award —created in 2005— has become a reference in the tourism and gastronomy sphere in Ibero-America. It is granted every year within the framework of Fitur.
Peru at Fitur
The Inca country seeks to raise awareness on the less explored regions of the nation —such as the
North-Amazonian areas— at the fair, with a special emphasis on adventure, nature, culture, and cuisine.
Therefore, the Exports and Tourism Promotion Board (PromPeru) has presented a specialized magazine in order to make known the diverse tourist circuits and gastronomic routes in the north.
Likewise, the theme of the Inca country's stand revolves around the international campaign "Peru, the world's wealthiest country," which aims at drawing international attention.
Furthermore, there is a gastronomic bar, virtual reality products, and the recreation of a typical home from
Kuelap.
20 Peruvian companies are expected to hold work meetings with the market's main tour operators and airlines to close deals worth US$13.5 million.
Fitur is a global meeting point for tourism professionals and the leading trade fair for inbound, as well as for outbound Ibero-American markets.
The
event takes place in Madrid on January 23-27.
