Peru: President-elect Fujimori meets with Chilean Ambassador

Just days before the transfer of power, President-elect Keiko Fujimori on Tuesday met with Chilean Ambassador Milenko Skoknic to coordinate the details of President Jose Antonio Kast's upcoming visit to Peru.

The meeting addressed the possibility of working together on security and irregular migration, as well as strengthening cooperation between the two countries.

Fujimori Higuchi also received a visit from Francis Allison, mayor of Lima's Magdalena district.

Later, Popular Force Party lawmakers Hector Ventura, Patricia Juarez, Fernando Rospigliosi, and Martha Moyano, as well as Vice President-elect Miguel Torres, arrived at the party's headquarters in San Isidro.

Since being elected President of the Republic, Fujimori has met with various national authorities, political leaders, and representatives of social organizations, among others.


Subsequently, on July 28, she will be sworn in during a Congress plenary session and assume the Executive Branch leadership.
