Peru President pays tribute to farmers across the country

President Martin Vizcarra paid tribute to men and women working the land on the occasion of National Farmers' Day (June 24) celebrations in Peru.

Via Twitter, the Head of State noted the demanding and invaluable work carried out by male and female farmers, who contribute to the country's development day after day.

Additionally, the statesman affirmed the Government is working towards a prosperous and competitive agriculture that supplies quality products to the marketplace.

"Happy Farmers' Day!" reads his Sunday post.
