"We want to find a solution to this problem and what is the best way to solve it? Through coordination, through dialogue. That is our proposal," the Head of State expressed.
Likewise, the top official indicated the government is willing to meet the population's demands and supports them.
Furthermore, he underlined the Executive Branch showed a good disposition to establish dialogue at the meeting between some cabinet members —led by Prime Minister Salvador del Solar— and Fuerabamba community leaders held in Lima last weekend.
Concerning the problems related to Arequipa region-based Tia Maria mining project, the statesman pointed out the government's three levels —national, regional, and local— must agree on a development plan that benefits the districts located in the influence area.
Remarks were made after the supervision of the Uchumayo detour improvement works.
