Likewise, the top official expressed the willingness of his administration to support and facilitate the work of the
Electoral Observation Mission in the coming general elections.
The mission will also observe the voting process in some consulates, as these will host 977,292 Peruvian citizens residing abroad who —for the first time— will elect two direct representatives to Congress.
The event took place at the Government Palace in Lima.
