Peru President leads Muni-Executive meeting in Pasco region

15:23 | Oxapampa (Pasco region), Aug. 2.

President Martin Vizcarra on Thursday highlighted joint efforts undertaken by the three levels of government to ensure the implementation of projects needed by Peruvian regions.

According to the President, it is not right to choose a national priority while merely seating at a desk, but rather through dialogue and consensus with the country's inland authorities.

"The consensus efforts undertaken by all (parties involved) will ensure the completion of projects," he expressed.

Likewise, the top official deemed the paralyzed works as "dead investments."

Thus, he underlined the importance of Muni-Executive meetings, at which the Central Government engages in direct dialogue with regional and local authorities to address each region's problems.

Remarks were made during the Muni-Executive meeting in Pasco region.

It must be noted said gatherings denote cooperation platforms that promote, develop, and strengthen the joint efforts among governors, mayors, and the Executive Branch.
