Peru: President Jeri leads operation to strengthen citizen security in Huanuco

The President of the Republic, Jose Jeri, led a regional operation to strengthen actions in favor of citizen security in Huanuco.

This action took place after his participation in the 9th Regional State Council, marking the beginning of the top official's nationwide tour in this part of Peru.

According to the press release, this was the first operation led by President Jeri outside Lima, in line with his administration's goal of restoring peace and security to citizens nationwide.

After visiting the Huanuco Police Region headquarters, the Head of State toured various streets of the city at dawn.

He was accompanied by members of the Peruvian National Police (PNP) and the Armed Forces to oversee the ongoing identity checks and patrol operations in this central region.

The operation also involved staff from the National Superintendence of Migration, who carried out immigration control tasks on buses and trucks traveling along the city's main roads.

The event was attended by Ministers Vicente Tiburcio (Interior) and Jorge Figueroa (Education) as well.
