09:00 | Huanuco (Huanuco region), Nov. 12.
President Jose Jeri visited the Citizen Security Center in Amarilis district, as part of his work agenda in Huanuco region on Tuesday.
There, the Head of State oversaw patrol and control operations carried out as part of the nationwide fight against crime.
The center —inaugurated last May— is equipped with over 70 state-of-the-art surveillance cameras.
Several of these cameras can identify vehicle license plates and human faces, enabling timely intervention in risk situations.
During the visit, the top official was accompanied by District Mayor Roger Hidalgo, with whom he coordinated measures aimed at strengthening anti-crime efforts in the jurisdiction.
Visit to university
Minutes earlier, as part of his schedule in this region, the President visited the Daniel Alomia Robles National University.
At the site, the Head of State verified infrastructure progress funded through public investment.
Likewise, the top official stated that his government will maintain its commitment to strengthening higher education in Peruvian regions.
This institution obtained its licensing this year from the National Superintendence of Higher University Education (Sunedu), following a continuous improvement and institutional strengthening process.
Thanks to this recognition, the university becomes the country's first licensed music and arts institution, offering programs in performance, music education, and the arts.
At these facilities, the President reaffirmed his commitment to continue visiting the regions to listen to the population's demands firsthand and provide immediate solutions.
