Peru: President Jeri coordinates development of Callao Port and Naval Industry

The President of the Republic, Jose Jeri, led working meeting in which the strategic importance of developing Callao Port and the national naval industry was addressed.

The Head of State underlined that the coordination of efforts is essential for advancing the improvements required at Callao terminal and the Navy's proposals supporting industrialization.

"This is a strategic issue for the country and must be approached responsibly," the top official pointed out.

The President emphasized that, although his term is short, he is taking swift actions to address the country's main challenges, including the situation at Callao Port.

Participating in the working meeting were Ministers Denisse Miralles (Economy-Finance), Aldo Prieto (Transportation-Communications), Cesar Quispe (Production), Teresa Mera (Foreign Trade-Tourism), and Peruvian Navy representatives, among others.
