The President of the Republic, Keiko Fujimori, on Thursday morning accompanied the Cabinet, headed by Prime Minister Luis Galarreta, to the Government Palace Courtyard of Honor prior to its appearance before the Chamber of Deputies to present the Government General Policy.

The Government General Policy is the instrument that brings together the set of strategic guidelines that will direct Executive Branch actions to improve the population's quality of life.

This is the first presentation of the Cabinet led by Prime Minister Galarreta following the restoration of a bicameral Congress.

In accordance with Article 130 of the Political Constitution of Peru, this presentation does not give rise to the submission of a confidence vote.

The PCM stated that the presentation reaffirms the Executive's respect for the independence of powers and compliance with constitutional provisions.

Likewise, the session will make it possible to hear the positions of the various parliamentary groups, an essential step to reach consensus for the benefit of all Peruvians.
