Peru: President Boluarte participated in Civic-Military Parade

16:30 | Lima, Jul. 29.

The President of the Republic Dina Boluarte on Saturday led the Great Civic and Military Parade on Brasil Avenue in Lima's Jesus Maria district —as part of the commemorative events for Peru's 202nd Independence Anniversary.

Upon arrival in the area, the top official was welcomed with high honors by the Armed Forces.

Afterwards, the Commander-in-Chief reviewed the troops and authorized a high-ranking military officer to start the activity.

Members of the Peruvian Army, Air Force, Navy, and National Police also delighted spectators with their stiff march, gala uniforms, and varied equipment, even including some aircraft during an airshow.

Held as part of Independence Day festivities, the parade pays tribute to Peruvian Armed Forces for their contribution to the nation.

It is also an opportunity to inspire patriotism and love for the country.

It must be noted that today's event lasted more than four hours.
